Facing the unique acoustic environment of Meragang Mosque, DSPPA’s phased array sound system was implemented with the support of its agent, Comtech Trading Co., to deliver focused sound coverage and enhanced clarity.
Project Overview
Meragang Mosque, officially named Masjid Az-Zakireen Meragang, is a newly built mosque in Kampung Meragang under Brunei’s National Housing Scheme, designed to accommodate over 2,200 worshippers with prayer halls, female areas, classrooms, and supporting facilities.
Given the mosque’s spacious and acoustically reflective interior, a sound reinforcement system with precise coverage and high speech intelligibility was essential to support sermons and daily prayers.
Project Features
Addressing the specific acoustic challenges of Meragang Mosque, a customized sound reinforcement solution—developed with the support of Comtech Trading Co.— was designed using phased array directional column speakers combined with professional audio processing equipment.
