On August 9, the 17th Guangdong Provincial Games officially opened at Maoming Olympic Sports Center.

As a major sporting event attracting nationwide attention, the Games are supported by DSPPA’s integrated audio and video solutions deployed at three key venues: Shaoxiu Gymnasium in Xinyi, Maoming Olympic Sports Center, and Gaozhou Sports Center, ensuring reliable audio-visual support throughout the event.

01  Shaoxiu Gymnasium, Xinyi

As the dedicated venue for handball competitions, Shaoxiu Gymnasium required a professional sound system tailored to its architectural acoustics, spatial environment, and high-intensity event needs.

Precision Sound Reinforcement Design

DSPPA adopted a zone-based suspended line array system with three main hanging points. Each point is equipped with a line array consisting of eight full-range speakers, providing precise coverage of the competition area and key zones.

The system delivers clear and stable sound for referee announcements, live commentary, and audience interaction, ensuring consistent sound pressure and excellent listening experience across the venue.

Additional auxiliary speakers are evenly installed above the spectator stands to enhance sound quality and coverage, balancing the listening experience between the court and audience areas.

From signal collection and audio processing to power management, DSPPA provides a complete and stable audio chain to ensure continuous operation during the Games.

As the main venue of the Games, Maoming Olympic Sports Center, featuring one stadium and two indoor arenas, hosts major events including the opening and closing ceremonies, athletics, football, gymnastics, swimming, and diving.

The venue is equipped with an intelligent broadcasting system featuring over 100 outdoor column speakers, more than 200 ceiling speakers, and nearly 400 wall-mounted speakers, covering outdoor plazas, stadiums, corridors, and public areas.

Core equipment in the control room adopts a dual-backup design with seamless switching, providing reliable support for background music, event announcements, and emergency broadcasting.
